TERMS OF SERVICE

By accessing or using WAXFEED ("the Service"), operated by Polarity Lab, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

WAXFEED is a music platform that combines several products:

• Album rating and review ("Letterboxd for music")
• TasteID, a cognitive taste fingerprint generated from your listening and rating activity
• 360 Radio, a globally indexed library of DJ sets and mixes
• A booking marketplace where DJs list rates and bookers pay through the platform
• News aggregation, topic roundups, and a built-in article reader

To use most features you need an account. We support magic-code email sign-in and password-based sign-in. You agree to:

• Provide an accurate email address
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, ratings, comments, mixes you upload or link, profile information). By posting content you grant WAXFEED a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service.

You agree not to post content that:

• Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains spam, advertising, or malicious links
• Impersonates another person or entity
• Misrepresents a mix you do not have rights to share

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

Any user may upgrade their account to a DJ profile, list their rate, and accept bookings. By creating a DJ profile and accepting bookings you agree that:

• You have the rights to perform the sets you advertise
• You will honor confirmed bookings and communicate professionally with bookers
• WAXFEED is a venue for the transaction, not a party to the underlying agreement between booker and DJ
• You will complete Stripe Connect onboarding before accepting paid bookings
• WAXFEED retains a ten percent platform fee on each paid booking; the remaining ninety percent is transferred to your connected Stripe account

Bookers agree that payment authorizes WAXFEED to process the transaction on the DJ's behalf, and that disputes are resolved between booker and DJ in good faith. WAXFEED may, at its discretion, refund canceled bookings or mediate disputes.

All payments are processed by Stripe. WAXFEED never stores card details. Payouts to DJs occur via Stripe Connect Express accounts. Disputes, refunds, and chargebacks are governed by Stripe's policies in addition to these terms.

Pricing displayed on a DJ profile is set by the DJ. Counter-offers and final pricing on a specific booking are negotiated between booker and DJ within the Service.

Album artwork, metadata, and audio previews are sourced from third-party services (Spotify, Deezer, Billboard, news publishers) and remain the property of their respective owners. News article excerpts and full content are reproduced for editorial commentary and discovery purposes; if you are a publisher and want your content removed from the WAXFEED reader, contact us. The WAXFEED name, logo, design, and original code are the property of Polarity Lab.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings, reviews, or bookings
• Circumvent the booking flow to avoid platform fees

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms or at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time. Outstanding bookings and payouts will be honored where possible. Upon termination your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but content you have posted may remain accessible to other users where it has been quoted, replied to, or otherwise integrated into the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant the accuracy of news content, taste predictions, or third-party metadata.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Polarity Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to disputes between bookers and DJs, lost data, or service interruptions.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes through the Service or by email.
